La UDO fundada en 1958 es la principal Universidad en el Oriente, se creó como una casa de estudios nacional, pública y autónoma, de la que han egresado miles de profesionales en diversas carreras. Hoy atraviesa la peor situación en 63 años de su fundación, producto de saqueos y hurtos de sus bienes. Es urgente ayudar a la nuestra Universidad.

En el recorrido por la escuela Ciencias de la tierra realizada por egresados de ésta, se evidencia el saqueo que vive el campus udista. Techos, repuestos de de vehículos, comedor, aulas, laboratorios, bibliotecas, salones de especialidad, absolutamente todos fueron víctimas de robos y los cuerpos de seguridad no cumplen con su labor.
“No es justificable que los entes de seguridad con conocimiento de la situación, no puedan prestar el cuidado de las instalaciones. Quienes están en el gobierno Regional y Municipal les importa poco el saqueo de la Universidad porque no les duele» afirmó Farias.
No podrán vencer a la Casa más Alta del Oriente venezolano, los Udistas apoyan el cambio.
Roniel Farías ex dirigente estudiantil y miembro de la FCU en varias ocasiones, asegura que el régimen juega a desaparecer la autonomía Universitaria, pero no podrán vencer a la Universidad y a los Udistas. «La Universidad de Oriente es un sentimiento de lucha, esparcidos en todo el país y no vamos a doblegar a nuestra lucha por un mejor país, desde el consejo legislativo junto al gobernador Raúl Yusef, el Alcalde Luis Silva debemos promover de forma urgente soluciones a nuestra alma Mater”.
“La crisis actual debemos transformarla en acción para lograr la libertad y recuperar la Universidad para nosotros y nuestros hijos. El llamado es a organizar un GRAN frente de lucha en defensa de nuestra institucion. Todos en defensa de la universidad. Del pueblo venimos y hacia el pueblo vamos. La votación debe ser masiva el proximo 21de Noviembre, los UDISTAS debemos estar al frente.” finalizó Farías.
