El rector del Consejo Nacional Electoral (CNE), Roberto Picón, denunció que en el estado Barinas ha habido una “conspiración” para desconocer la voluntad de los electores, pero llamó a los ciudadanos a votar masivamente el 9 de enero de 2022 para defender su derecho a elegir.
“En el caso Barinas, fuera del CNE se conspiró desde muy temprano para 1) obstaculizar la recepción de actas de las zonas más remotas del estado, 2) impedir la totalización , adjudicación y proclamación del ganador fabricando una inhabilitación política inconstitucional, 3) secuestrar atribuciones del Poder Electoral anulando el resultado de la elección del 21 de noviembre, y convocando una nueva elección el 9 de enero, 4) dificultar la postulación de candidatos inhabilitando arbitrariamente a última hora a los posibles candidatos de oposición“, afirmó en un hilo de Twitter..
“Ante la conspiración para desconocer la soberanía popular, los ciudadanos debemos perseverar con los medios a nuestra disposición, incluido el derecho a la protesta “, expresó el rector electoral.
De cara a las nuevas elecciones, Picón dijo que “corresponde ahora a los Barineses reiterar su derecho a elegir, votando masivamente el 9 de enero y organizando la contraloría electoral ciudadana necesaria para garantizar que en toda Barinas se pueda votar libremente y sin presiones”.
El rector aseguró que “el CNE organizará estas elecciones con las mismas garantías técnicas que establecen sin dudas que el voto es secreto, automatizado, que se cuenta sin intervención de terceros, y que el sistema de captahuellas garantiza el principio de un elector-un voto”.
Además, informó que el 9E se contará con la participación de seis organizaciones nacionales de veeduría electoral, que ya participaron el 21 de noviembre.
“El país necesita instituciones reconocidas que trabajen para mejorar las condiciones de vida y hagan valer las libertades ciudadanas. Se requiere un acuerdo nacional que permita el encuentro de todos en la constitución y la elección de nuestros gobernantes por el voto popular. Eventos como los de Barinas representan un retroceso importante en el camino que se intenta construir en esta dirección. Corresponde a los ciudadanos insistir para restablecer el camino y derrotar a quienes han conspirado para sacarnos de él“, concluyó Picón.
