En un recorrido hecho por nosotros a las instalaciones del Instituto de Prevención Asistencial del Ministerio de Educación (Ipasme), pudimos constatar que esta sede se encuentra sumergida en un monte que se expande por todas las instalaciones de dicho centro.
Así mismo pudimos observar la presencia de indigentes quienes duermen en la acera del instituto, debido a la ausencia de vigilantes que impidan que pernoten allí.
Esta institución ubicada en la Av.5 de Julio, y la cual es emblema de la ciudad, viene atravesando una situación crítica debido a la falta de recursos económicos para el buen funcionamiento.
Así lo manifestó Gloria Navarro, quien utiliza muchas veces los servicios médicos- asistenciales que allí funcionan.
En tal sentido indicó,»Sres. del gobierno central, ya es hora que tomen cartas en el asunto, envíen los recursos económicos para así solventar muchos de los problemas que afectan el buen funcionamiento de esta sede». Finalizó Navarro.
